Periscope

With this edition of the 451 CAOS Insight Update, our biweekly newsletter from The 451 Group's Commercial Adoption of Open Source (CAOS) Research Service, we consider VC funding for open source vendors during the economic downturn, Oracle contributions to Linux and open source software, Sun's moves with MySQL 5.1, and Linux in high-end computing.

As part of The 451 Group's CAOS Research Service, we also host a biweekly conference call for CAOS clients. This call features a roundup of top issues in open source by 451 analysts Jay Lyman, Matt Aslett and Raven Zachary. The conference call is in listen-only mode, although we encourage you to send questions or topics in advance via email and we will do our best to address them during the call. As we are still in the process of refining this new offering, we welcome your feedback on the format and content.

Archives of past calls are accessible as a public podcast through iTunes or from the CAOS Theory podcast site. Feel free to share this link with anyone.
